I would say that I kind of agree yet disagree on the point of this video. I completely understand people needing to put down their phones and electronics every once in a while, but we can't just completely disconnect ourselves. Now, in this day in age, the only thing we use to com,communicate is our cell phones. So its a little different if someone left their phone at home because others may not know where they are. Whoever is looking for them, their first reaction is to call their phone and if they don't answer, it causes more problems. I also see how keeping our phones away can be a good thing. When people are altogether, they are always on their phones and its like they're not even really with each other. Overall, keeping you phone away can have a positive impact sometimes, while it can also have a negative one.

I am at the part in my website where I have all of my pages established, but I don't have all of the content in every single page. I would most likely not be able to be finished at the end of the hour, and I need more time. I am a perfectionist, so I guess that that plays into the fact that I am behind and also that I was absent. I probably need a few more days, but I am planning on coming in before and after school to complete my website!

Welcome back! How was your Spring Break? Tell me all about it. You've been out of school for 10 days so I know you will have plenty to share. Make it good!
I had a great time over my spring break! For the first part of my spring break I was in Dallas, Texas. I went with my Dad and my friend Alexis. We all spent a little too much time together that break, including the 8 hour car ride there. While in Texas, we went to Six Flags and did a whole lot of shopping! Six Flags was a bust because it was all rainy the day we went and all of the rides were closed. But then, the next day, we did this skydiving simulator. It was basically 120 mph winds throwing you into the air. This was probably my favorite part of the vacation! Also when we went shopping, there were so many places to shop, I don't think I have ever shopped more in my life. My suitcase was about three times bigger coming home as opposed to when we were just leaving for Dallas. The rest of my break consisted of hanging out with all of my friends and I couldn't have had a better time. Overall, this spring break was awesome and probably the best one that I have had yet!

Do you like the layout of this project? Have you benefited from your brainstorming sheet? Was it more helpful or annoying when starting to map out your website? Explain why.
I actually really like the layout of this project. I feel like the brainstorming sheet really help me benefit. I would definitely say that it was more helpful than annoying when we started to map out the website. I feel like it helped me because we basically just made our website on paper. You don't have to keep brainstorming throughout the website, you just do it all at once in the beginning! You website is basically complete after you do the brainstorming because then all you have to do is actually create it, but you have guide the whole time.

After reading below to see where you should be on your product website - are you caught up? What helps you stay caught up in class? Do you like having small checkpoints? Are you behind? If so, what are you going to do to get caught up?
I am for the most part caught up on my website. I just have to make sure that my header and footer are just the way I want them because I feel like they aren't just right yet. I stay caught up in class by trying to work efficiently and getting my assignments done. I do like having small checkpoints because they help me know whats going on and if I have to fix anything. I don't think I am behind, but I think I have one small assignment missing from a day that I was gone, so I am going to complete it at home with the links I have at BV Business!

What idea do you have that is going to make you product website different, unique or unlike anyone else? If you're answer is you don't know - it's time to start THINKING. Explain your idea.
I feel like my website is already a little bit different from everyone else's website in a way. My inspiration was Vera Bradley because I like how many products they have. They have handbags all the way to school supplies and jewelry. I do have some more ideas though to help and make my website different from everyone else's. I think it would be fun to actually make this website and have it be a legit thing. Where you can make the products and then sell them to people online and make money from them.

I decided to feature bags, purses, jewelry, you name it, products on my website. My inspiration was Vera Bradley because they have so many different products and I really like how they have so many different products. I wanted to do this because there are many different designs, patterns, styles, and colors of Vera Bradley products. They range from handbags all the way to jewelry. I think this would be fun website to design because I can make it very personalized and colorful! There will be many designs and exciting things on this website and it will make people want to read more!

What are three things you learned about color theory and web design yesterday? Go in to detail.
In web design yesterday, we learned many things about color theory. There are primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. Primary colors are colors that cannot be mixed or formed by any other colors to make this color. Secondary colors are formed by mixing the primary colors. Tertiary colors are colors that are formed by mixing a secondary and a primary color. There is also color harmony, which is where you are pleasing the arrangement of parts. Everything balances out and flows, nothing is too hard or too soft on each color. And lastly, there is color context, which is how a certain color behaves in relation to other colors and shapes. Like the effect a certain background has on a color, it can be good or bad. You don't want to distract away from the wrong color. Overall, we have learned all about the color theory, but these are just three parts of it that are important!

The color scheme can affect the whole website! I personally know that if a website has a more appealing color scheme, then I would want to continue reading the page. If the websites color scheme is boring, then I would most likely get bored and not enjoy reading the website and would most likely stop. What did you learn about file types as you created and designed your travel website? What are some other kinds of file types you know of? What do these different files do? Explain.
I learned a few different things about the different types of files while we were designing our travel websites. We learned about .psd files which is where you can edit and change images and also we learned about .png files, which is where you can't change the image and it is basically complete and cemented. I don't really know about many other types of files, but I know about .gif files and I know that they are basically moving images. All files have some type of code in them and they all have to be saved in different ways for them to be efficient!

What was your takeaway from this Travel Site? What did you learn that you didn't know before? How will the knowledge of how we built this site help you improve your future websites?
My takeaway from this travel site was just a bunch of stuff about places I've visited that I didn't know about. I learned some special facts about these places and even about some of their history. I think that how we built this website will definitely improve my website making ability. We learned many new functions and behaviors during this assignment, and I will definitely be using them on some of my future websites. Overall, I learned a lot from doing this website and I think that it was very useful in making me a better website designer!

How can Photoshop be a valuable tool in web design? Explain.
Photoshop can be a valuable tool in everyday of life, but it can also be a valuable tool in web design. Lets say that you need to put an image on to a website, but it isn't just right yet. Well, then you can edit the photo in a way that you can make it to your liking. Or you could also crop an image if you don't like every single part of the photo. I don't know too much about Photoshop, but I do know that It does wonders in the media. You can make some regular person and turn them into some gorgeous super model. I have used it briefly in journalism when I took that class and also a few times in this class. I haven't gotten fancy with it, but just enough as to crop some images. I know that Photoshop can make someone look completely different than what they naturally look like. I am by no means an expert at it, but I would love to learn how to use. Think about how a user (me or anyone else using your site) might function and interact with your site. What are some important functional features to make your website easy to work with? How can you make it easier for the user and not frustrating? Explain why this is so important.
Everyone needs to make sure that there website is easy on the eyes. No one wants a website that is so bright that you just can't read it anymore. Also, make sure that your navigation bar is simple. Don't have it off to the side or anything. Make sure that it is in the center and it is really easy to read. These are very important because if you website is not easy to read, not as many people will want to look through it and you will not get as many views!

Tell me about your Sweetheart weekend. If you didn't go to Sweetheart, what did you do? I want details!
This weekend I didn't go to sweetheart, but I did have an amazing weekend. Before everyone went to the dance, my friends and I went to my friends house and got all dressed up. We took a bunch of pictures of all of us and then we ate dinner at my friends house. After all of this, we drove up to Park Place at town center and we went shopping and ice skating. Later that night we went and saw the movie, "Ride Along" with Kevin Hart and Ice Cube and it was absolutely hilarious! After the movie, we then went to to another one of my friends after parties of sweetheart and then we stayed the night there. Overall, this was great weekend, even though we didn't actually go to the dance, we all had an amazing time!

My All About me Website is well, All About Me! My four content pages are my family, my hobbies, my friends, and my school. I chose these topics because they are the ones that I know most about and I would enjoy talking about them to anyone. Some of the plans that I have for my site are taking pictures of all of my family members when they don't know that I am! Also my friends too! I feel like it will add a funny and a more appealing twist on my website. What are your thoughts on HTML code? Did you enjoy the coding activity? Do you feel like you learned anything? Explain yourself.
I honestly thought that HTML mode was pretty cool. I never thought that typing would have so much behind it. HTML code is just like a whole new foreign language. I did enjoy the coding activity because I think that it helped me learn a lot more of what HTML code was really like and it helped me understand it more efficiently. I really do feel like I learned a lot because we were actually doing HTML code and it helps me know what I'm coding when I am. Overall, I really do like the HTML coding and I feel like it will be helpful to know in the future whenever I am doing computer related things!

Tell me about your three day weekend. How was it? What did you do? Elaborate!
Over this three day weekend, I had an amazing time! I went shopping with friends one day and I got a bunch of new clothes, and whats more important to a teenage girl than clothes? Also, my friends and I also all went out to Jose Peppers together and we all had a blast! Each day of the weekend, I was with all of my friends and it was just amazing to be surrounded by all of the people that you know care about you! Another great part about my weekend was that my sister came home! She goes to Baker University, so she isn't too far away, but it's always great to see her face in the house! Overall, this three day weekend was amazing, and I can't wait until next weekend or more so, Spring Break!

What do you know about plagiarism on the internet? How do web design, the internet and plagiarism all effect each other? Explain.
I know a lot about plagiarism on the internet! For example, in high school, us students are well known for it. One person writes and essay, a friend asks them to email their essay to them, they copy and paste it, put their name on it, and boom, that is plagiarism! Basically, plagiarism is when you take something that doesn't belong to you and then you use it and put your name on it. Like when it comes to pictures, the owner of that picture will sometimes want you to give them credit for that photo being theirs. Web design, the internet and plagiarism all connect together. In web design, you could easily look over at the person next to yours computer and copy their work, post it to the internet and put your name on it. This not only causes problems with you and that other student, but you can get your grade docked too. Overall, plagiarism is something that you do not want to participate in! Web design, plagiarism and the internet may all seem different, but once you publicize one plagiarized thing on the internet in this class, you are putting yourself in a bad position!

I honestly believe that if there is an image on the internet, anyone should be able to use it. While I can see why there is controversy on the subject on photos being stolen, I believe that if the photo is online, it is free game. The person who posted the photo online should have known that once that image was posted, anyone can see it or use it. Overall, if you don't want anyone else using it, don't post it!

I don't know a whole lot about web design, but I do know a few. For example, they have HTML mode and it contains a lot of codes. Also I know that you can go to blogger and you can make your own blogs. When you make a blog, you can customize it to the way you want it and post whatever you want.
